WMCQ 91.7 FM Muskegon, Michigan
A powerful new non-commercial Christian radio station, WMCQ -- 91.7 FM, went on the air Thursday, March 31, 2005. It broadcasts at a power of 6,000 watts at a height on the tower of 288 feet.
Where is it heard?
WMCQ will provide coverage for the towns of Muskegon, the north side of Grand Rapids, Grant, Newygo and Kent City.

WYFT 88.7 FM Indianola, Mississippi
A powerful new non-commercial Christian radio station, WYFT -- 88.7 FM, went on the air in August 26, 2004 and will broadcast in the regular AFR format.
Technical Stuff:
The station has a 680' tower and broadcasts at a power of 100,000 watts.
Where is it heard?
WYFT will provide excellent coverage for Indianola, Greenwood, Greenville, Leland, Cleveland and all of the Mid-Delta region of Mississippi as well as southeastern Arkansas.
WQVI 90.5 FM Canton, Mississippi
WQVI, 90.5 FM went on the air on July 20, 2004 and will broadcast in our Christian Classics format.
Technical Stuff:
The station has a 500-foot tower and broadcasts at a power of 60,000 watts.
Where is it heard?
WQVI covers the Jackson, Vaiden, Yazoo City and Forest, Mississippi area.
How many will hear it?
There is a potential listening audience of 310,000.
WPAS 89.1 FM Pascagoula, Mississippi
WPAS, 89.1 FM went on the air on March 25, 2004.
Technical Stuff:
The station has a 660' tower and broadcasts at a power of 60,000 watts. WPAS is American Family Radio's second station on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
Where is it heard?
WPAS covers the Pascagoula, Moss Point and Lucedale, Mississippi areas and the neighborng Mobile, Alabama metropolitan area as well.
How many will hear it?
There is a potential listening audience of 585,000.
Facts about the area:
More than 250,000 people live in the Mobile, Alabama metropolitan area. Pascagoula is Mississippi's premier and busiest shipping port. Pascagoula is the home of the state's largest employer, Northrop Grumman America's Shipbuilder.
KBAH 90.5 FM Plainview, Texas
KBAH went on the air March 18, 2004.
Technical Stuff:
The station has a 463' tower and broadcasts at a power of 75,000 watts.
Where is it heard?
KBAH covers the cities of Plainview and Lubbock, Texas as well as numerous smaller towns in the area.
How many will hear it?
There is a potential listening audience of 285,000.
Facts about the area:
The City of Plainview is comfortably nestled in West Texas. This community of roughly 22,000 adjoins I-27, which connects various Texas metropolitans, such as Amarillo to the North and Lubbock to the South. It is the home of Wayland Baptist University. Plainview's economy is based primarily in agriculture. Lubbock is the ninth largest city in Texas and the largest in West Texas with a population of just under 205,000. It is the home of Texas Tech University and Lubbock Christian University.
KAYK 88.5 FM Victoria, Texas
KAYK was completed during the last week of October, 2003.
Technical Stuff:
KAYK was upgraded from being on a 150' tower broadcasting at a power of 1,000 watts to being on a 300' tower and broadcasting at a power of 50,000 watts.
Where is it heard?
KAYK covers the Victoria, Port Lavaca, Edna, Cuero and Goliad areas.
How many will hear it?
There is a potential listening audience of 122,000.
Facts about the area:
The current population of Victoria is 61,320. The Victoria area is a strong, growing community situated 30 miles inland from the Gulf of Mexico on the mid-Texas Gulf Coast.
KZFT 90.5 FM Fannett, Texas
KZFT went on the air October 31, 2003.
Technical Stuff:
The station has a 400' tower and broadcasts at a power of 35,000 watts.
Where is it heard?
KZFT covers Beaumont, Port Arthur and Orange, Texas and the surrounding area.
How many will hear it?
There is a potential listening audience of 370,000.
Facts about the area:
Fannett, Beaumont, and Port Arthur are all in Jefferson County, TX which boasts a population of about 250,000 and is on southeastern Texas coast. It is in the heart of the southeast Texas oil industry.
WPWV 90.1 FM Princeton, West Virginia
WPWV went on the air in September, 2003
Technical Stuff:
The station broadcasts at a power of 2,500 watts from a 100' tower that is atop Bluff Mountain (3,474' elevation), the highest point between Princeton and Beckley, West Virginia.
Where is it heard?
WPWV covers Princeton, Bluefield and Beckley, West Virginia and surrounding areas.
How many will hear it?
There is a potential listening audience of 171,000.
Facts about the area:
Nestled in the beautiful mountains of southern West Virginia, the towns of Princeton, Beckley and Bluefield are located on Interstates 64 and I-77. The area boasts several state parks and ski areas.
KAXF 88.3 FM Conroe (Houston), Texas
KAXF 88.3 FM in Conroe (Houston), Texas will complete a tower relocation and power upgrade on Monday, June 2, 2003
Technical Stuff:
The station will have a new 443 foot tower. The broadcast power will increase from 28,000 watts to 100,000 watts, the strongest wattage allowed for a radio station.
Where is it heard?
KAXF will have a 54 mile coverage radius that reaches the entire northern half of the Houston metropolitan area, including cities like Conroe, Huntsville and The Woodlands.
How many will hear it?
The new signal will reach nearly two million people, making it the largest population covered by any American Family Radio station.
Facts About the Area:
Houston is located in the southeastern corner of Texas, just off Galveston Bay. Nicknamed "Space City USA", it is home to NASA’s Johnson Space Center. Not only is Houston the largest city in both Texas and the southern US, but it is also the fourth most populous city in the nation.
KQRB 89.9 FM Windom, Minnesota
KQRB 89.9 FM
in Windom, Minnesota will begin broadcasting in late-February, 2003
Technical Stuff:
The station has a 171 foot tower and broadcasts at a power of 250
watts. American Family Radio has been serving Windom with a translator
at 90.9 FM. A translator is unique because its frequency can be
acquired by another broadcaster who wants to put in a full-power
station, even if the frequency is already in use by AFR. By upgrading
to a full-power station at 89.9 FM, American Family Radio secures
its coverage in the Windom area.
Where is it heard?
KQRB has a 12 mile coverage radius that includes the cities of Windom,
Mountain Lake, Wilder and Bergen.
How many will hear it?
The signal will reach nearly 6,000 people.
Facts About the Area:
Windom, Minnesota is situated 135 miles southwest of Minneapolis/St.
Paul. Located in the state nicknamed "The Land of 10,000 Lakes,"
Windom enjoys access to many forms of water recreation in nearby
lakes and the Des Moines River.
KCKT 88.5 FM Crockett, Texas
KCKT 88.5 FM in Crockett,
Texas began broadcasting in mid-February, 2003.
Technical Stuff:
The station has a 161 foot tower and broadcasts at a power of 250
watts. American Family Radio has been serving Crockett with a translator
at 91.9 FM. A translator is unique because its frequency, even if
the frequency is already in use by AFR, can be acquired by another
broadcaster who wants to put in a full-power station. By upgrading
to a full-power station at 88.5 FM, American Family Radio secures
its coverage in the Crockett area.
Where is it heard?
KCKT has a 12 mile coverage radius that includes the cities of Crockett,
Grapeland and Latexo.
How many will hear it?
The signal will reach nearly 8,500 people.
Facts About the Area:
Crockett, Texas is nicknamed the "Paradise in the Pines" due to
its wonderful quality of life and its proximity to the Davy Crockett
National Forest. Crockett is located in East Texas, halfway between
Dallas and Houston, and is the seat of Houston County, which was
the first county in Texas. The city was named for Tennessee scout
and national hero Davy Crockett, who camped in the area on his way
to the Alamo.

FM in Lawton, Oklahoma became part of American Family Radio on Wednesday,
February 5, 2003.
Technical Stuff:
The station has a 187 foot tower and broadcasts at a power of 1,000 watts.
Where is it heard?
KVRS has an 18 mile coverage radius that includes the cities of Lawton, Fort Sill, Cache and Geronimo.
How many will hear it?
The signal reaches over 93,000 people.
Facts About the Area:
Located on Interstate 44, Lawton is 85 miles southwest of Oklahoma City, the state capital of Oklahoma. The city is adjacent to the United States Army base at Fort Sill, and the Wichita Mountains are also nearby. Lawton is the fourth largest city in Oklahoma.

FM in Selma, Alabama was upgraded in late January, 2003.
Technical Stuff:
The station has a new 335 foot tower. The broadcast power increased
from 250 watts to 21,500 watts.
Where is it heard?
WAQU has a 40 mile coverage radius that includes the cities of Selma,
Demopolis, Marion, and Greensboro.
How many will hear it?
The new signal reachs nearly 100,000 people.
Facts About the Area:
Selma is located 45 miles west of Montgomery, the state capital of Alabama. The city is nestled in Alabama’s "Black Belt", a region known for its extremely fertile soil. Selma was an important site in the Civil Rights struggle of the 1960's and is home to the National Voting Rights Museum and Institute.

WIGH 88.7 FM Jackson, Tennessee
WIGH 88.7 FM in Jackson, Tennessee became part of American Family Radio in late January, 2003.
Technical Stuff: The station has a 548 foot tower and broadcasts at a power of 15,000 watts. WIGH is American Family Radio’s second station in the Jackson area.
Where is it heard?
WIGH covers the cities of Jackson, Milan, Humboldt and Trenton.
How many will hear it?
The signal reaches over 156,000 people.
Facts About the Area:
Located at the intersection of Interstate 40 and U.S. Highway 45,
Jackson is situated between Memphis and Nashville. Named for President
Andrew Jackson, the city is proud to have famous natives such as
politician Davy Crockett, railroad engineer Casey Jones, television
game show host Wink Martindale and rockabilly legend Carl Perkins.
The Casey Jones Home and Railroad Museum is one of Jackson’s biggest
attractions.
